Next-Gen Server Box


MDC410 is a completely reconfigurable software defined mini datacenter in a box. MDC410-C is the server only variant of MDC410 supporting upto 24 single socket nodes. MDC410-C is targeted for Server Virtualization, Openstack, CDN Servers and E-Commerce Server. Integrated 3.2Tbps low latency (150ns) switch fabric delivers near-infiniband performance at the price of an Ethernet switch.

Technical Overview

  • MDC410-C is a server only configuration of MDC410.
  • MDC410-C has 24 Intel Xeon-D processor nodes (D-1527 / D-1537 /D-1548) and Xeon E3-1505M processors with 1.152 TB DDR4 memory.
  • MDC410-C server cartridge has two Intel Xeon-D processors with 96 GB DDR4 RAM.
  • MDC410-C server node has 256 GB M.2 bootable disk and a maximum of 4 TB HDD or SSD for storage.
  • MDC410-C has a built-in KVM(Keyboard-Video-Mouse) controller.
  • MDC410-C system has 32/64 Gbps node to node connectivity.
  • MDC410-C has optional TCP/IP and UDP session hardware offload support.
  • MDC410-C has optional SSL hardware offload support.

MDC410-C Components

Chassis MDC410-C chassis support 12 cartridges. This versatile chassis shares power, cooling, network uplinks and datacenter acceleration modules. Its 4U from factor allows 10 chassis per rack.
Server Cartridges MDC410-C can accommodate up to 12 server cartridges, which has two Intel Xeon-D processors, each with 48GB DDR4 RAM, 256GB M.2 bootable SSD disk and upto 4TB HDD/SSD for storage.
Network Switches and Uplinks MDC410-C has a built-in capacity of 3.2Tbps of switching. MDC410-C supports 8 uplinks of 10/40Gbps to interface with enterprise's networks. The TOR switch is eliminated by the MDC410 switch fabric. Server nodes are connected to each other by 32/64 Gbps speed@150ns latency. MDC410-C has the capacity to accommodate two switch cards and each support up to 1.6Tbps switching capacity.
Power MDC410-C has maximum power rating of 3KW. MDC410-C has 4x1500W AC-DC power modules supporting N+1 or N+N power redundancy.
KVM MDC server node has in-built KVM(Keyboard-Video-Mouse) controller support.
